Feb 5, 2019 at 4:59 | comment | added | brilliant | "Сходи" implies a "back-and-forth" going, while my question is about those three expressions ("пойди", "иди" and "начни идти") that imply only the start of an action of going. My question is not about any other words or expressions, especially when they imply something different from what those three in my question imply.

Feb 5, 2019 at 3:35 | comment | added | brilliant | "Пойди" and "Иди" would be incomplete without the mention of "Сходи" - "Иди" CAN be complete! Besides, there is no need to mention "Сходи" if you have already said "Пойди" or "Иди": "Пойди сходи к нему", "Иди сходи к нему" both sound quite redundant.
