I work in a company which does catastrophic modelling, meaning, if there is a catastrophe such as earthquake, then we estimate the dollar loss arising out of that catastrophe to the movable and immovable properties.

I primarily work in Java on Unix (Mac OS X). I have worked on Windows using C# and contrary to many, I loved it.

My interests include language design, machine learning and making software better. I try to script anything which takes more than 30 seconds to complete. Unfortunately, that does qualify me writing a script for my love-making.
